Groundskeeper

POSITION SUMMARY:

To maintain all the grounds (paved and unpaved areas), landscaping (to includes snow removal), and minor repairs to grounds. The duties of a groundskeeper include fertilizing lawns, trees, and bushes as well as maintaining the landscape on the property. Maintain the aesthetic appeal of our outside spaces by maintaining well-kept lawns, trimmed hedges, trim shrubs, clutter-free paths, and trash pickup. To ensure the facility is kept looking great all year long.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three (3) years' groundskeeping maintenance and/or landscape experience required.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Good organizational skills. Ability to effectively communicate (oral and in writing) and interact with customers to meet their needs. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Ability to work cooperatively within a team environment. Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to set priorities, make effective decisions, and respond quickly to customer's needs. Ability to recognize and deal with problematic situations and to prioritize. Uses discretion in confidential matters. DriverI"AA-s License - current and valid New Jersey driver's license. Employees must adhere to all procedural guidelines in HR Policy 1-13 including demonstrating an acceptable driving record for the duration of their employment as long as driving continues to be a responsibility of the job.
