Details of the Division and Team:

The role is as a Senior Credit analyst within the GCT APAC Credit trading franchise with responsibility for coverage of specific corporate issuers in depth across their capital structure. The candidate will inter alia be tasked with formulating risk and trading strategy alongside other senior Risk Managers & Traders. Generating and promoting trade ideas and working with Coverage and having regular dialogue with Clients in APAC credit with a particular focus on Mainland China investment grade and high yield, and Macau/HK high yield.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Establishing desk strategy with other Senior Risk Managers

  • Producing financial modeling

  • Close monitoring of a universe of corporate issuers in the APAC space, tracking all the important news and results

  • Presenting at internal Sales and Trading meetings

  • Assessing relative value across capital structures

  • Creating profitable trade recommendations

  • Interaction with traders and clients

Your skills and experience:

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • At least seven years' experience in corporate credit analysis, both buyside and sell-side.

  • A strong background in APAC Corporate market and banking system from a research perspective.

  • Onshore and Offshore China/Macau and Asia High Yield experience, including distressed debt.

  • Strong financial modelling skills, ability to understand the financial statements of different companies across sectors, ability to understand legal documents such as bond indenture, credit agreements, etc

  • An understanding of Bond valuation techniques

  • Track record in development of successful trade ideas

  • Experience working in an environment working alongside Senior risk takers in a desk analyst and risk management function

  • Experience working with Junior Traders

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Existing client relationships preferred

  • A strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team

  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders

Role is required to be performed on-site at DB office Hong Kong. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
