This is a significant undertaking and high profile in nature and as such we are looking for a senior Technologist with hands-on experience managing Structured Equity Derivatives projects and designing and delivering end to end solutions.

As our Lead Americas Equity Derivatives Program Manager you will:

  • Form direct relationships with trading desks, technology teams and leadership
  • Excellent analysis, design and development skills. Able to lead a team in an Agile environment within a Dev-Ops framework
  • Manage programs strategy and the program approach across a series of projects or component activities, building stakeholder buy-in around plans, commitments and changes
  • Assist business stakeholders with the decomposition of complex business requirements into Epics and User Stories that can be delivered by Tech teams via respective backlogs with minimum cross product co-ordination
  • Delivery, governance & reporting to stakeholders including the Product owner in the business, head of a service line or Product within Technology
  • Drive the use of Agile methodologies within Technology teams (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean) in line with corresponding transformation frameworks at the bank
  • Ensure Technology programs align to HSBC strategies and contribute to towards achieving strategic aims
  • Manage the development and promotion of the technology portfolio and project management practices
  • Manage the reporting of progress, issues, dependencies and risks to committees and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realization

For this role, HSBC targets a pay range between $160,000.00 and $220,000.00.

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements

Youll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

  • Excellent analysis, design and development skills. Able to lead a team in an Agile environment within a Dev-Ops framework
  • Able to drive a team forward but also be able to roll up his or her sleeves and drive the program forwards
  • Ability to learn fast and rapidly assimilate new business requirements
  • Organized, self-starter, highly motivated team player
  • 10+ years of experience in Investment Banking with strong understanding/relevant experience of Prime Brokerage with a particular focus on
  • Structured Equity Derivatives
  • Able to converse with key business stakeholders around Derivatives business concepts
  • Experience writing functional specifications
  • Experience with SQL
