Position Overview

We are looking for a Financial Software Developer to join our Core team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying Beacon's financial deal model. You will collaborate with the team to define our product for existing and future clients, including asset managers, hedge funds, insurance companies, and commodities trading companies.

What You'll Do

Work on various components in the financial technology space. These include:

• Time series framework
• Deal model framework
• Integration with cloud computing services
• Providing ongoing support and enhancement of the Beacon Platform
• Performance optimization and tooling for performance tuning

As part of the Core team you will also have the opportunity to be involved in the broader Beacon Cloud Product, which includes data management, compute grid and batch job scheduling, dependency graph, security and permissioning, developer tools.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and algorithms
• Proficiency in python
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical details to both peers and non-technical stakeholders
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively on team projects
• Adaptable to change and able to thrive in a rapidly evolving product environment
• Perseverance and the ability to drive issue resolution and projects through to completion

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Experience providing software solutions within the financial industry
• Experience with SecDB, Athena, and other in-house banking platforms
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database technologies
• Familiarity with cloud computing such as AWS or Azure
• Exposure to multiple programming languages and paradigms

Expected Salary Range: $150,000 - $175,000
