Job Summary

Spectrum Brands is looking for an experienced eCommerce Content Manager with extensive marketplace knowledge, proven analytical capabilities, strong SEO and optimization experience as well as a passion for testing content that resonates with the consumer. This content manager will be responsible for driving organic sales on eCommerce sites (with a focus on Amazon), improving keyword ranking, increasing overall conversion rate, improving the quality of product listings, and helping to launch products on time. The content manager should have a strong bias for action, make data driven decisions and have a passion for optimizing content.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
  • Content Strategy & Execution: Responsible for developing the content strategy and collaborating with brand and creative team on development of assets. This role will also personally manage the content in eCommerce systems as well as building out content for new products and ensuring they are launched on time and with all data necessary to scale sales.
  • Optimization: Continual optimization will require a strong bias for action. Top selling products will be optimized monthly while the remaining products will be optimized quarterly. A deep understanding of eCommerce systems and tools will be critical to ensure the products are optimized correctly.
  • Keywork Research & Ranking: Data analytics and research is a central component of this role. The Content Manager will conduct monthly research, identifying critical keywords that drive sales and executing changes to improve keyword ranking over time.
  • Organic Sales: The Content Manager is responsible for driving organic sales. They will develop strategies and execute changes to meet organic sales targets each month.
  • Item Data Quality: Providing world-class customer experience will require the right level of data quality in Amazon's system. The Content manager will ensure item data is correctly managed in eCommerce systems and all required information is available to provide the best shopping experience.
  • Improving Conversion Rate: The Content Manager is responsible for driving and improving the conversion rate on each marketplace.
Education and Experience Profile

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing or related field required.

Required Skills
  • 5+ year of experience managing content for a large eCommerce business, generating over $100M a year in sales
  • 5+ years' experience in online Vendor, Retail, or Category Management including 3+ years of experience with Amazon 1P and 3P (marketplace) selling
  • 3+ years of content optimization experience on Amazon
  • Superior analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to transform data into actionable content updates and results
  • Passion for optimizing and leveraging data to drive content changes
  • Software minded and experience leveraging technology to drive solutions. Experience with CIQ is a plus
  • Proficiency with Excel and data analytics, BI tools, and data science methods in solving complex problems
  • Experience influencing multiple stakeholders and proven ability to lead large and complex projects with cross functions and teams
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
