Job Description

In Visa Client Services, we use our deep expertise and thought leadership to proactively improve our clients' success. The Global Acceptance Client Services organization was created to better meet the needs of our Acceptance clients, which includes acquirers, payment processors, Fintechs and merchants.

As an important member ofthe Client Services team, you will play a key role in supporting Visa's revenue goals and commercializing Visa products and solutions by driving critical business and performance management functions, as well as driving and supporting key strategic initiatives and collaborating with key functional stakeholders within Client Services and across the broader organization.

The Business Strategy and Operations (BSO) team plays a critical role in the success of our organization through core functions including data and analytics, business operations, program management, performance management, communications and execution of critical strategic initiatives.

In this role, you will work closely with other members of the BSO team, as well as broader leadership in GACS and across the organization, developing and delivering business, performance and management reporting (qualitative) and analytical support, solving business challenges through collaboration, supporting the execution of strategic initiatives and creating high-impact, high-quality content including dashboards, executive communications, and presentations for both internal and external audiences at all levels.

The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with a high-degree of intellectual curiosity, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to independently translate high-level guidance into action and high-quality deliverables.

The Business Consultant, Business Strategy & Operations role is a hybrid position based in our Atlanta office. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and delivery of performance reporting and tracking, including qualitative and narrative content through dashboards, presentations and newsletters.
  • Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve business performance, accelerate growth.
  • Develop frameworks, approaches, and recommendations that effectively and efficiently address the most impactful opportunities and challenges.
  • Work with variety of stakeholders across functions to manage scope, secure support and resources for execution, and deploy processes that improve day-to-day operations.
  • Lead work streams consisting of many distinct functions driving multiple simultaneous efforts.
  • Partner with peers in other functional areas, and across global and regional teams to execute initiatives in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa's resources.
  • Work through challenges, identify bottlenecks and dependencies, remove blockers and escalate concerns when necessary.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • At least 5 years of experience leading complex, strategic programs - ideally in payments.
  • Working knowledge of payments industry and ecosystem - experience in the acceptance side of payments (acquirers, acquirer processors, payment facilitators, merchants) is highly desired.
  • Experience in structuring and managing integrated, multi-track projects and or work streams, able to orchestrate cross-functional teams including product development, operations, sales, marketing, finance, risk, and legal to achieve the project goals.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills - can clearly communicate and articulate complex topics and issues with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Track record of building and maintaining strong business relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a bias toward action and ability to move projects forward without direct management responsibility, with a sense of urgency, while elevating issues at critical junctures as appropriate.

Additional Qualifications

Critical Thinking: Ability to combine analytical reasoning, creativity and judgment. Quick study, able to manage complex matters, with multiple initiatives going on simultaneously. Able to deal effectively with strategic issues, as well as tactical operational details.

Change Agent: Advocate for our Acceptance clients. Educate the broader organization on the needs of our acquiring, processing and merchant clients.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 112,500.00 to 163,050.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
