Location:Remote

Travel: 50%


Genie is hiring a Regional Sales Manager to cover our territories and is responsible for maintaining and establishing our dealer customer base. Our team is passionate about meeting the needs of our customers, focused on imperative, evolving sustainability goals, and promote innovative solutions through superior customer service. We are looking to work with the best companies in the area to rent, sell, and service Genie products.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain distribution channels for the full line of Genie Aerial Work Platform products, developing plans to ensure continued growth in assigned areas or territory by developing sales forecasts and securing sales orders, conducting research of local market and business activity. Assisting customers with business planning and development.
  • Ensures that customers understand the Genie value proposition. Educates customers on products, service, warranties, and technical support.Providing accurate information to customers regarding product specifications, price, availability terms, and conditions.
  • Elicits feedback from customers on existing products and service, as well as changes, enhancements, and new products that customers would like.Conveying feedback to Genie cross-functional teams (such as Engineering, Finance) to meet customer's needs.
  • Working with advanced deal structures including items such as product releases, payment terms, and freight allowances. Managing multi-unit rollouts of regional accounts and multi-month equipment roll-out contracts.
  • Displaying lean manufacturing principles in dealings with customers and fellow Team Members. Controlling personal expenses per agreed-upon budget, managing discount levels, and striving to improve company margins.
  • Focused on self-development, meeting, or exceeding training requirements, developing new product knowledge, and continuously improving knowledge to support customers and team.

Travel Requirements: An estimated 2-3 overnight trips per week, varying from week to week. This includes representing the company at trade shows, and visits to customers regularly as determined by the yearly sales plan (working with local, regional, and national accounts) to maintain relationships, coordinate business development, and educational activities! Company vehicle provided.

Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in the heavy equipment industry
  • Experience setting up equipment dealerships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, prepare and deliver formal presentations, initiate, and complete sales contracts.
  • 5-8 years of relevant sales experience in aerial products or equipment rental industry, in-depth knowledge of Genie and Terex products.
  • Experience using Salesforce, or other CRM.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, sales, and equipment financing programs.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deliver sales communication in writing and in person. The ability to conduct price, product, and delivery negotiations.

Salary: The base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000.
