Position Purpose: * Negotiate supplier engagements in partnership with businesses under the leadership of the Head of CM-US Procurement. The successful outcomes of these initiatives are those solutions that meet Capital Markets business requirements and create value for RBC as measured by savings/cost avoidance achieved. * Leads RFI's, RFQ’s and RFP's in collaboration with business sponsors * Supports and enables the end to end sourcing process for assigned categories. * Responsible for performing analysis to support the sourcing process.
Key Accountabilities: * Negotiation of contracts including pricing and service warranties for specific category. * Performs detailed spend and other analysis to support the sourcing process. * Apply in-depth knowledge of the category embracing best practices and industry trends. * Develops and maintains a complex set of spreadsheets to capture and maintain the spend analysis for specific category on a month-by-month, year-over-year basis etc. * Acts as subject matter expert and facilitates in the research, development and implementation of RFI's, RFQ’s, RFP's, SLA's and related contracts. * Assist the Business and Procurement team with vendor performance complaints and ensures vendors compliance/performance meets expectations as defined in SLA's and contract agreements. * Proactively identifies opportunities/initiatives within supplier or services in areas of savings, revenues or process streamlining. * Takes ownership of assigned savings initiatives including the tracking and monitoring of saving roadmaps and project plans. * Key contact that liaises with IT enterprise wide teams to ensure strategic alignment and leveraging is optimized * Contributes to recommendations to Executives
Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): Required: * IT experience and/or background * Minimum 5 years recenet relevant experience * Collaborative ability to work with end users and vendors to achieve the best value * In-depth appreciation of the current and emerging trends within the category. * Team player with ability to influence * Focus on customer service * Proven PC skills including strong knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word * Strong analytical skills to formulate a well developed set of metrics relating to the spend category * Be comfortable presenting to Senior Level Management
Desirable: * MBA, CFA, accounting expertise * Experience in Capital Markets * Software Contract knowledge * Negotiations skills
