Position Description
Overview:
This is a limited duration position expected to last for one year.
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Statistics, with demonstrated ability to perform on team projects involving the management, analysis, and presentation of quantitative information.
Experience with SAS, MS Office and database design and management.
Prior experience or course work in a health-related discipline preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and time management skills are essential.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and work within deadlines are also required.
Physical Demands:
Normal physical requirements associated with working in an office environment such as prolonged sitting, repetitive motion such as typing on a computer keyboard, etc.
Responsibilities:
Participates in projects involving statistical methods dealing with healthcare-related information.
Serves as internal consultant/expert on statistical and other quantitative issues.
Manages, analyzes, and interprets data about healthcare quality from surveys, tests, and other sources.
Manages complex databases of healthcare quality information.
Performs independent research to develop new or improve existing methods for data analysis and presentation.
Develops and uses a wide variety of computer programs for collecting and analyzing data and reporting results.
Performs other duties as assigned but not at a higher level.
