Portfolio Manager

Position Purpose:
* To trade and manage a research driven Equity Long/Short strategy in the Consumer/Retail sector.

Key Accountabilities:
* To trade, manage and oversee development and operation of a research driven Equity Long/Short strategy in the Consumer/Retail sector.
* Strive to provide the business direction to achieve profit targets as established by the Global Arbitrage & Trading Management
* Closely monitor the position risk of the books.
* Ensure all transactions comply with policies defined in Standing Orders.
* To develop and foster strong working relationships with key contacts throughout RBC.
* To communicate to the Global Arbitrage & Trading Division Head and Global Risk Manager on a timely basis material changes in position risk, market developments, and reportable Operational Error Loss events.
* To keep up to date with the latest developments in the market.

Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience):
Three plus years in a Portfolio Manager Role in Consumer/Retail.
* Five plus years of experience in Financial Services sector.
* BA/BS
Preferable:
* CFA
